Another good signing from AP, Wilkins has got good football league experience both at coaching and managerial levels.

Meanwhile: Swansea are talking 1m for Saga and Rasiak.. I'd leave them on the bench to rot for that price.. get stuffed Swans 3m no less and we'll put a bow on em.

The group he's got in there now show the aims are very high for the future. These guys are are serious foundations for the club and show a long term premiership goal.

I'd pay Swansea just to take Rasiak.

Living in this part of the woods, I'll just say how much Wilko is regarded in Brighton. As mentioned he's a fitness freak, he knows the league. he's competed at a club that had no cash, no ground. A good and astute aquisition.

Seems like good signings for coaching staff. We do need some players now very soon!

As far as Saga and Raziak goes I wouldn't flog them too cheaply but at the same time I wouldn't put any potential buyer off. I think if no one buys them they will finally realise that they are not as good as they think they are and then try and do their best for Saints.

I agree let them stay until at least January. Even if they don't want to stay it will be in their interest to bang in some goals for us. Looking at our team at the moment I cannot think of a better option.

i am really encouraged by this appointment,it's no point signing players before getting the background staff sorted, it's like putting on a play with no where to show it. with any luck these guy's will have contacts of there own and might get us some good talent without breaking the bank, just think there could be some chelsea boy's old or young needing a team to be playing in? also with Murdoch's appointment there is some millwall conections? i did hear Zax Whitbread has put in for Transfer??? would be good to have more quality defence he he! anyway i know the good times are on there way up the saints!!! p.s please lay of the poles we don't know what the want?? i've yet to see any conection to the at either Swansea fc. web site or the Swansea Evening post? Evening all this is the first time i have posted on here and after being a season ticket holder for 28 years its about time I joined in the fun!Firstly I feel I need to pay respect to a legend, today football has lost one of its all time greats in Sir Bobby Robson.
Ok back to the saints, I too find myself fixed to sky sports news daily hoping for new signings and wandering why all our league 1 friends are snapping up the bargains. Now AP has his back room staff in place watch the changes begin, for starters Murty will have signed by Monday ( I Know his decorator!)Let the good old days return!!!

I hadn't gone away - just hadn't anything worthwhile to say. Lots of new names on the site since last season but also a few left who like me had argued our way through the horror of last year and before. If UTS is still around, I very much regret that you just might be proved right (and me wrong) - if the new owner is as good as he seems and we get out of the third division this coming season or next.

You are right that both views above, leading in opposite directions, are points well made. Additional factor is the wages. Get shot of the two Poles and it frees up the wage bill for new signings.

Still don’t know the facts about a wages cap in this division – percentage of income or something? Please can someone enlighten me?

There is a great buzz .. we are very late in the transfer market but everything done to date has been in a methodical businesslike manner with a solid view to the future of the club.

It's great getting up to coffee in NZ to check for news...

It will be super to get news of signings but we should keep the faith and keep our shirts on as the boss does his job.

See my problem with identifying someone by text is you don’t have any visual pointers

Example

If you post something and my reply is don’t be a c… we don’t need x player you will get mad.

If we were together in pub and you said it and my reply was the same but with a happy face you wont get mad and the conversation would just carry on.

Cos ive been to the pub im rambling what I mean is it easy to take a text conversation the wrong way and hence arrive at the wrong conclusion.

We don't need to measure likely success on the quantity of inward players when we really haven't shown our strength in the league. I do believe our current first team will match well in L1 and develop as the boss adds a couple or three players as he really gets a grasp of the league and our players efforts.

See my problem with identifying someone by text is you don’t have any visual pointers Example If you post something and my reply is don’t be a c… we don’t need x player you will get mad. If we were together in pub and you said it and my reply was the same but with a happy face you wont get mad and the conversation would just carry on. Cos ive been to the pub im rambling what I mean is it easy to take a text conversation the wrong way and hence arrive at the wrong conclusion. I have noticed the gossport saint stuff going on but why do you think it is Invidia? Not making any judgement one way or the other because I haven't been following what has happened that closely. All I can say is that Invidia has been posting on here for a long time and if he has something to say about anyone he is usually upfront about it (so far as I know anyway!). Invidia, what have you got to say about it? By the way, 'Invidia' means jealousy/bitterness so I have often wondered where he has been coming from.
