SAINTS defender Dan Seaborne has thanked the club's fans for all the support they have given him, following his release from hospital.
The centre half sustained a serious head injury in an incident outside a Southampton nightclub earlier this month.
Seaborne, who has been discharged from hospital and is now continuing his recovery back home, issued a statement via Saints' official website this afternoon.
The 24-year-old said: "I would like to say a massive thank you for all the support and well wishes I have received through cards, messages, phone calls and emails.
"The supporters, my friends and well wishers have all been magnificent.
"I have been really touched by the kindness I have been shown, not only by the fans of Southampton Football Club and my previous club Exeter City, but also all the other football fans that have shown their support.
"It has been unreal, and I only wish I could thank them all individually."
Seaborne also thanked the staff at Southampton General Hospital and the Spire Hospital, as well as Saints chairman Nicola Cortese, manager Nigel Adkins, his teammates, and all the other employees at the club, while adding that he "can't wait" to return to action.
