James Beattie
JAMES Beattie has opened the door for a return to Saints, revealing he would “love” to rejoin the club.
The striker is currently a free agent, having been released by mutual consent from his contract at Scottish champions Rangers.
That has left the 33-year-old searching for a new home, with Beattie admitting he is keen on a move back to St Mary’s.
The former England international said some soundings had already been taken from Saints.
