BASINGSTOKE Town Ladies are up to fifth in the Southern League Premier Division table after beating bottom side Launton 4-1 at Winklebury on Sunday.
Town took the lead on 21 minutes through Tracy Jones and the same player turned provider early in the second-half, setting up Katie Randell to score from close range.
Justine Mosley made it 3-0 from the edge of the area with 53 minutes on the clock, while Sam Mosley saw her effort cannon back off the crossbar.
Town got a fourth with 15 minutes to go, Emma Pearmine playing Sam Mosley in to fire home and while Launton pulled a goal back in the closing stages, it was a comfortable afternoon for the hosts.
A few days earlier, Basingstoke reached the final of the North Hants Cup with a 7-0 win over Winchester City Flyers Blacks.
Lianne Hill opened the scoring after five minutes and the same player added a second on 40 minutes, before Sam Mosley struck twice to make it 4-0 at the break.
Sam Mosley claimed her hat-trick goal to make it 5-0 early in the second-half, and Hill did the same soon after, with Jones completing the scoring.
The Ladies host another struggling side, Oxford City, in a league game at Winklebury on Sunday (kick-off 2pm).
