Weymouth ace Sharpe out of Stoke crunch

WEYMOUTH Ladies entertain Stoke Lane Athletic at the Bob Lucas Stadium tomorrow (2pm) in the South West League Premier Division with three more valuable league points on offer.

The home side are looking to complete the double over Stoke Lane as they ran out 3-1 winners when they made the long journey to Almondsbury early in December last year.

All three goal scorers on that day – Ella Walmsley, Georgia Rogers and Shannon Peaty – should be available for selection but Weymouth will be without their inspirational captain Rosie Sharpe who misses the encounter.

Weymouth won their last match away at Frome Town 2-0 and are in a great run of form having won five out of their last six league games.

With both of the current top two teams in the table, Larkhall and Bristol, to play third-placed Weymouth cannot afford to slip up and would appreciate a big crowd to come and support them.

Admission is £2 adults and £1 children.
