Hants legend dies, aged 100

FORMER Hampshire wicketkeeper Neil McCorkell has died at the age of 100.

McCorkell, who played for Hampshire from 1932-51, was three weeks shy of his 101st birthday when he passed away at home in South Africa on February 28.

McCorkell claimed 524 catches and 181 stumpings for Hampshire, scoring 16,228 runs at 25.60 - including 17 centuries - from 395 appearances.
