JAN Poortvliet says he will be opening talks with players and clubs about extending loan deals when the transfer window opens.
Saints see the loans of Jack Cork, Alex Pearce, Ryan Smith and Jordan Robertson expire in the next couple of days, while Tomas Pekhart has already returned to Tottenham.
Coming back to the club will be Marek Saganowski and Nathan Dyer and it all gives Poortvliet plenty of food for thought – starting with trying to extend the loan deals of the players he wants to keep.
He said: "We want to keep Jack and Jack wants to stay here because he feels comfortable and he likes it. We hope he stays.
"For the rest I don’t know because I’m not sure exactly what will happen."
