Fialka "reconsiders" withdrawal of Pinnacle bid

PINNACLE money-man Michael Fialka has said his group are considering renewing their bid to buy Saints.
In a statement issued to the Jewish Chronicle last night, the 32-year-old said: “Yesterday, myself and my Consortium publicly withdrew from being the front runners for our proposed takeover of Southampton Football Club.
“We advised our advisers of this decision, and the basis of that decision, and they in turn made our stance known. Let me be clear that in publicly withdrawing our offer based on the conditions that I understood needing to be met, we did not, nor have lost our interest in the Club.
“Moreover, we felt that it was necessary to make this decision for the good of the Club, in the event that another interested party were better placed or willing to complete the takeover on the basis of the terms on offer. That decision has not changed.
“However, I was very pleased to learn today that the Football League have made it known that, in the event of a takeover, no further sanctions will be issued to Southampton Football Club. With that in mind, we were advised by Pinnacle today to reconsider our position, and we are now looking at this.
“In the event of a successful completion, we remain of the opinion that we will have the support of the fans, which of course is crucial.
"It is deeply regrettable that matters have not yet been concluded, but as confirmed by the Administrators, this is a complex transaction, and if we do proceed, we need to be certain that everything has been looked at and the good of the Club is put first.
“I hope today’s events result in a successful takeover now being possible - but if this does not happen, we hope that whoever buys the Club will be able to deliver what the fans deserve.”
The statement was issued late last night after the Football League told the Daily Echo there was no truth in Fialka's earlier claims of a potential 15 point deduction.
A spokesman also reiterated that there was no threat of further point deductions.
“To proceed, all it (Pinnacle) needed to do was to provide clarification in regard to funding and sign the contract,” the spokesman said.

Tony Lynam went on record saying they had one backer with several hundred million.
Fialka revealed as the money man. Doesn't appear to have several hundred million.
So now it's "members of his community" who are fronting the cash, except they didn't.
The only other story I want to hear from Micky Fialka on this site is the successful completion of a takeover. Other than that, Echo - please don't give this man or group any more attention.
They've wasted a lot of time, money and goodwill.

The buyer is doing a deal with the administrator who will take the best genuine offer he can get. The CVA is between the administrator of SLH and the creditors of that shortly to be defunct company, the purchasers of the club are not involved in that deal but could be affected by it which is stupid.

If you have the funds to transform this club as you originally claimed, and the only obstacle stopping you buying the club is no longer there, and MLT is still up for the directors job then WHAT IS THE HOLD UP!! JUST SIGN THE F***ING CONTRACT ALREADY!
If all the fans on here read that your funds have been approved, the sale has gone through, MLT is on board, the club is safe, no more than 10 points are deducted and we can get on with that other matter called FOOTBALL then everyone here will be happy!

It gets my goat up that these people cannot recognise this. A) you used administration to get your chance to buy. You could have made an offer for shares at any point over the last 3 years but didn't. So accept the minus 10.
B) The exiting administration is down to YOU. Do it right and you don't lose the points.
C) If by some chance you do get some points docked, well so be it. We will survive. It will only mean you have to be patient/ paid a bit too much for us. One would hope that you are in it for genuine and preferable long term reasons.

Anyway, this is just a fairly improbable theory, but I'll go for it anyway. It is very likely that any Jewish football supporter living in Barnet is going to support Spurs.
Given the hostility still held by a good few Spurs supporters in respect of Mr Lowe's comment about them being "North London bully-boys", is it beyond the realms of possibility that this is a group of Spurs fans who have seen the current situation at St Mary's as an opportunity to push our club under?

It is the club which secures a competitive advantage from wiping out debt through insolvency proceedings, and therefore, it is only right that it is the club, regardless as to the identity of the new owners, that is made subject to any conditions.
The League has a responsibility to ensure all League clubs start the season - we would also clarify that throughout our discussions no conditions other than a waiver in regard to sporting sanctions have ever been raised with us as a major issue.

At this rate I can see a late bid coming in from a consortium with Rupert Lowe involvement- snap the club up for a knockdown price - keep it for a season then flog it at a profit. Lowe never had the club at heart, was only interested in profit- it's tailor made for him!!
Seriously though, it's got to the stage where almost anyone will do irrespective of their intentions for the clubs future -
