Lallana thinks Leeds style will suit Saints

ADAM Lallana believes Leeds’ attacking style will play into Saints’ hands at St Mary’s tomorrow.

Alan Pardew’s men are aiming for their seventh home league win in a row when Simon Grayson’s promotion chasers visit.

And Lallana is confident Saints will be able to exploit Leeds’ open style of football.

“They’re fighting for the automatic spots and I’m sure they’re going to come at us and try to get a result,” he said.

“But when teams come at us like that it’s better for us.

“When teams put men behind the ball you’ve got to break them down.

“So it’s going to be a real competitive game.

“We owe them one obviously, because they beat us 1-0 at Elland Road.”

With Saints having scored five in their last two games at St Mary’s, and Leeds thumping Tranmere 4-1 on Tuesday, Lallana is not expecting such a tight game this time round.

“We’ve had ten in our last two home games and they got four midweek so it’s got all the material to be a good game,” he said.

We've scored ten in our last two games at St. Mary's.

Definitely going to be a good game! Could it even be 5 again...?!

It would be nice if we could score 5 again but I don't think that will happen given their defencesive record, which must be good for them to be in the position they're in.
I'll just settle for a Saints win !!

Much will be decided on who the first chance falls to and will the player have the 'big game' attitude to tuck it away.
Hopefully it will come our way, and hopefully the chance will fall to Lambo or Barnard, as they are less likely to duff it than others.
Should be a good game, but with both defences being fairly strong, could be another 1-0, as in the Elland road game.
Also hope we don't give away another early goal, as if we end up chasing the game, Beckford will be in his glory, running into the gaps created by us bombing forward.

It will be a hard game but different to
the one at Leeds, majority of the
crowd on our side this time, goals
coming from anywhere for us and
we know there will be no
complacency on our part.
