R&B Sports 5 Welly Old Boys 4 (aet)

This was a thrilling Peter Raynbird Cup tie from start to finish and would have made an excellent final.

Holders R&B Sports booked a semi-final place thanks to a Wayne Finn’s winner two minutes from the end of extra-time.

It was a disappointing end for Welly’s Ben Nicholls, who scored all four of their goals, |including the opener on 20 minutes after an error by goalkeeper Andy Hooper.

Lee Weller equalised for R&B before Nicholls netted again after poor defending. Finn levelled the game at 2-2, but again Nicholls put Welly back in front.

Ryan Evans headed in a Colin Davis long throw to equalise a third time.

Mark Fox than gave R&B a 4-3 lead two minutes from time, but Nicholls put away a penalty to force extra time.

With a penalty shoot-out looking likely, Finn netted his second and the winner.
