PREMIERSHIP leaders FC WindowMan will face a stiff test of their title credentials when they host in-form Bar 314 at the Marsh tomorrow (10.30am).
Bar 314 have not lost since the last time the two sides met, back in October, and have enjoyed an eight-game run without defeat since Matt Brown’s hat-trick condemned them to defeat that day.
Second-placed WindowMan, who are two points behind the Britannia with three games in hand, will be looking to bounce back after being held to a 2-2 draw by Tuatara.
However, they will be without the suspended quartet of Nigel Evans, Danny Andrews, Sean Stewart and Martin Masson, as well as trio Marc Dalley, Phil Lee and Dan McDonald, who are all on holiday.
On a positive note for the title favourites, ex-Snookes full-back Nathan Aston will be added to the squad, while Sanchez Baker, Aaron Naylor and Josh O’Connor will also return after missing the game with T-bar.
Manager Adam Parker is also hopeful of adding one or two new faces to bolster the squad ahead of the game, with a centre-half and a midfielder his priorities.
Meanwhile, Bar 314 will be missing Ross Lever and Ross Connor (both family commitments), as well as James Douglas (foot), but they do hope to have Lee Whistle (hip) and Matthew Wisdom (chest) back.
Meanwhile, Britannia host the Railway at the Piggery and are all too aware that their 3-0 win over the Taverners in February, courtesy of a seven-minute spell, masked what was a far more even contest.
The Brit will have also taken note that the Railway have caused a few upsets against some of the apparent title favourites this year and will need to be at their best given the absence of three senior players.
Adam Dell, Tom Ellis-Jones and Antony Carlile are all away on holiday but George Eley hopes to hand starts to fit-again Chris Squibb and Phil Stone for the first time since January.
Damien McLucas’ men will have to cope with two in-form strikers. The Brit’s Stu Burley and Grant Chance have scored 12 goals between them in their last three games.
