Starlet Wilson set for Eastleigh exit?

Sam Wilson has been placed on the transfer list Sam Wilson has been placed on the transfer list

EASTLEIGH boss Ian Baird has placed exciting teen prospect Sam Wilson on the transfer list due to “circumstances beyond my control”.

Baird had hoped that the 17-year-old prospect would have kept the older strikers at the club on their toes.

But, reluctantly, he has had to transfer-list the former Fulham trialist.”

Baird was reluctant to go into detail but said: “I’m extremely disappointed to have had to put Sam on the list.

“The lad wants to learn and is desperate to improve and I’m sure that, given time, he will progress. “Whatever anyone says, if he had come back in pre-season and continued to progress, he would have been part of the first-team squad.”

Chris Flood and Danny Smith are also on the transfer list and Baird has yet to sort out the future of former Farnborough midfielder Phil Appiah.

As far as Sam and I understand it, we have a gentleman's agreement with Stewart Donald, the owner of Eastleigh FC, which does not include Sam being transfer listed. The lad has not been informed by the club of this decision which is contrary to the agreement we have with them. I think it is appalling that such an announcement about a 17 year old's future should be handled in this way by Mr. Baird!!

I assume you are his father going by the name so why make things worse by going on about it on the Echo's web site.Have a private meeting or get your son the hell out of there

Mr.Wilson, if you want your son to develop and realise his potential then get him down to Dorchester Town this pre-season.

The Manager insists on football being played the right way and the club has a history of developing young players who then progress to League football.

Been looking at your forum. You seem to often blame peoples comments on them not reading your posts properly. Have you ever thought you might not get your message accross very well chum? You are making yourself look very defensive and have no real clue how to protect your son. Have you asked your son if he is happy about dad's arguments on web sites or maybe you are a control freak that knows best. it is cringeworthy

What part of this don't you understand..."The lad has not been informed by the club of this decision which is contrary to the agreement we have with them". Clearly to reach an agreement we must have spoken about Sam's situation with senior people at the club!!! Sam has already been released by the club and the manager already knew that?????
