LIVE - Basingstoke Town v Truro City
7:27pm Tuesday 4th September 2012 in Hampshire Sport By John Boyman
This live event has finished
9:41pm
FULL-TIME - Basingstoke Town 3 (Sam-Yorke 7,9, Daly 45+2) Truro City 2 (Yetton 38, Moore 70)
Despite the best efforts of a very poor group of officials, Town remain unbeaten and get their second win of the season. It was backs against the wall stuff towards the end but they showed great spirit to come through.
See Thursday's Gazette for a full report and all of the reaction.
9:40pm
YELLOW CARD - Basingstoke Town - Matt Warner
Nathan Campbell is penalised after winning a header midway inside his own half and Warner is booked for his protests.
9:38pm
YELLOW CARD - Basingstoke Town - Chay Morris
Morris is booked for time wasting.
9:37pm
YELLOW CARD - Basingstoke Town - Ross Adams
Adams seems to collide with a Truro attacker on the edge of the area but it's a free-kick and a yellow card.
Lee Hodges takes the free-kick but it's well over the bar.
9:35pm
SUBSTITUTION - Basingstoke Town - Chris Paterson on for Stefan Brown
9:32pm
The ball falls to Stewart Yetton on the edge of the area. His low shot beats Chay Morris and goes inches wide. Another close shave.
9:30pm
A cross comes in from the right and Truro's Les Afful makes contact with a diving header. Fortunately for the hosts, it's too close to Chay Morris, who is able to hold on.
9:29pm
A good run by Andy Watkins leads to a shooting chance and Town need a decent block from Robert Rice. The ball is fed back in and it's a sharp headed chance for Adam Kelly, who nods wide.
9:25pm
Lee Hodges shoots direct from the resulting free-kick, but Chay Morris gets down well to save and hold the ball.
9:25pm
YELLOW CARD - Basingstoke Town - Wes Daly
Daly is booked for a foul in a dangerous area after Toby Little was guilty of dwelling on the ball.
9:23pm
It's all Truro and they probably should have levelled it there. Adam Kelly's cross from the right found Kieffer Moore but his header loops over.
9:15pm
GOAL - Basingstoke Town 3 Truro City 2 (Moore 70)
Town can feel hard done by there. First Wes Daly is clearly fouled but referee David Rock waves play on. Then he allows Truro to continue with Ross Adams down after suffering a head injury.
Kieffer Moore runs past the striken defender with the ball before firing home a good shot from outside the area.
9:13pm
Town are on the ropes. Les Afful is played in down the Truro left and his effort beats Chay Morris but is cleared off the line by Robert Rice.
The ball is then crossed back in but it's just too high for Kieffer Moore.
9:11pm
Truro are on top now. Andy Watkins almost gets in and the resulting corner is headed goalwards, but it's straight at Chay Morris.
9:09pm
The resulting free-kick is just about smuggled behind for a corner, which almost goes straight in, Chay Morris doing well to tip it away.
9:06pm
RED CARD - Basingstoke Town - Stuart Lake
Lake trips a man midway inside his own half and is shown a soft second yellow. Town will have to play the last 29 minutes with 10 men.
9:05pm
Matt Warner cuts in from the right and fires in a low shot that is deflected wide. Pressure follows from the resulting corners, with the first being headed across goal by Nathan Campbell and somehow smuggled away, while Stuart Lake has a shot blocked from the second.
8:59pm
SUBSTITUTION - Truro City - Andy Watkins on for Dan Green
8:58pm
Good play down the Town left leads to a chance for Stefan Brown - but he blazes over from 15 yards.
8:58pm
Good play down the Town left leads to a chance for Stefan Brown - but he blazes over from 15 yards.
8:57pm
Good play by Simon Dunn, who beats a couple of men down the left, but his through-ball is cut out by goalkeeper Tim Sandercombe and Stefan Brown was offside anyway.
8:55pm
YELLOW CARD - Basingstoke Town - Stuart Lake
Lake is booked after a foul in midfield. Not his first, it has to be said.
8:51pm
YELLOW CARD - Truro City - Lee Hodges
Hodges catches Simon Dunn late and is shown the yellow card.
8:50pm
Basingstoke re-start the game. No half-time substitutions for either side.
8:40pm
HALF-TIME - Basingstoke Town 3 (Sam-Yorke 7,9 Daly 45+2) Truro City 1 (Yetton 38)
Town made a great start but faltered when Delano Sam-Yorke had to be taken off. Truro's goal had been coming and the hosts were a little lucky with their third. It's not over yet.
8:38pm
Truro look to find an immediate response. Les Afful gets in down the left and has a shot deflected into the side netting, while they also go close from the corner, which is headed over.
8:37pm
YELLOW CARD - Truro City - Ben Williams
Truro are rightly furious about the third goal and left-back Williams is booked for dissent.
8:34pm
GOAL - Basingstoke Town 3 (Daly 45+2) Truro City 1
Town break, with Wes Daly finding Stefan Brown, who looked at least a yard offside. The flag did not go up though and the striker took the ball forward before squaring for Daly, whose effort just about rolls inside the post.
8:31pm
YELLOW CARD - Truro City - Jake Ash
Town are awarded a free-kick for handball on the halfway line and Ash is booked for something he said to the referee.
8:24pm
GOAL - Basingstoke Town 2 Truro City 1 (Yetton 38)
Stuart Lake concedes a needless free-kick 25 yards out. It looks like Lee Hodges is going to shoot but he catches the Town defence out by floating the ball into the area and Stewart Yetton is afforded a free-header, giving Chay Morris no chance.
8:21pm
Truro are coming into the game a bit more and Stewart Yetton's volley from the edge of the area flies not too far wide.
8:20pm
That's Truro's first shot of note. But it's well wide of Chay Morris' goal from the edge of the area by Adam Kelly.
8:17pm
It's all gone a bit quiet since Town were forced to take Delano Sam-Yorke off. He was looking unplayable. Let's hope the injury is not too bad.
8:08pm
SUBSTITUTION - Basingstoke Town - Simon Dunn on for Delano Sam-Yorke (18 min)
Quite a cameo from Sam-Yorke, who may have won the game for Town already. He went down with what looked like a hamstring injury a few minutes ago and has to be replaced, with Simon Dunn going into the attack.
8:05pm
More good play by Toby Little down the left. He feeds the ball into the area for Stefan Brown, who shows good feet before hitting a low shot that is only fractions wide of the far post.
7:55pm
GOAL - Basingstoke Town 2 (Sam-Yorke 9) Truro City 0
Toby Little is played in down the left and his low cross is perfect for Delano Sam-Yorke, who prods home from close range to double the lead.
7:53pm
GOAL - Basingstoke Town 1 (Sam-Yorke 7) Truro City 0
Stefan Brown flicks the ball on for Delano Sam-Yorke, who outmuscles one defender to get to the edge of the area. He has support but produces an excellent turn to take another man out of the game before smashing an unstoppable shot home.
7:51pm
Nathan Campbell gets up to meet a corner at the near post but can only head wide.
7:50pm
Delano Sam-Yorke gets in down the left channel following good work by Toby Little. His attempted curler is too close to Tim Sandercombe in the Truro goal though. Too easy for the 'keeper.
7:48pm
Truro get us under way, shooting towards the Town End in the first half.
7:37pm
Team news - Just one change to the Basingstoke team that drew with Tonbridge on Saturday. Tim Sills is the latest addition to Town's long injury list and misses out due to a neck problem.
To make matters worse, Jordace Holder-Spooner, who was due to replace him, broke down with a hamstring problem in the warm-up, so Stefan Brown comes in. Town only have four substitutes.
Still out are Ashley Bayes, Jide Ogunbote, Shaun McAuley and Nathan Smart. Looks like Matt Warner will be asked to play on the right side of a 3-5-2 formation again.
Truro's problems are far more serious though. They were in court facing a winding up petition yesterday, being granted a two-week adjournment. Their players are not being paid tonight and they can only name three substitutes.
Basingstoke Town: Morris, Rice, Warner, Adams, Gasson, Lake, Daly, Campbell, Brown, Sam-Yorke, Little. Subs: Paterson, Dunn, Charlick, McDonnell.
Truro City: Sandercombe, Green, Williams, Ash, Hodges, Cooke, Kelly, Broad, Yetton, Moore, Afful. Subs: Watkins, Hall, Carne.
7:28pm
