This live event has finished

9:39pm

FULL-TIME - Staines Town 2 (Taylor 26, Hall 90+1) Basingstoke Town 0

That's three league defeats on the bounce for Basingstoke. The result was harsh on them tonight but the final ball wasn't really good enough.

See Thursday's Gazette for a full report and all of the reaction.

9:36pm

SUBSTITUTION - Staines Town - Hanif Boyle on for Cyril Ocansey

9:35pm

GOAL - Staines Town 2 (Hall 90+1) Basingstoke Town 0

And that's that. It's an excellent strike from Hall, who finds the top corner from 25 yards to cap a bad night for Basingstoke.

9:33pm

As Town throw men forward, Staines look more and more likely to score on the break. Cyril Ocansey gets in behind but shoots wide with only Ashley Bayes to beat.

9:31pm

That really should be game over. David Wheeler has a clear sight of goal from 10 yards but shoots wide. A let off for Basingstoke.

9:28pm

That's a dangerous ball into the area and Delano Sam-Yorke lays the ball back for Jay Gasson, who smashes a fierce angled drive not too far over.

9:27pm

From a corner the ball breaks to Callum McNish in space at the back post but his effort is blocked.

Wes Daly is the next to have a shy, his effort also being closed down.

9:24pm

YELLOW CARD - Basingstoke Town - Delano Sam-Yorke

In an attempt to prevent Staines time wasting, Sam-Yorke puts the ball down for a goal kick. The home 'keeper moves it to the other side of the six-yard area and Sam-Yorke gets booked for screaming at the referee about it.

9:17pm

A quick free-kick catches Staines sleeping but Delano Sam-Yorke is unable to create space for the shot.

9:15pm

SUBSTITUTION - Basingstoke Town - Stefan Brown on for Shaun McAuley

9:14pm

Reece Hall is allowed to cut in from the Staines left and his effort flies not too far over the bar.

9:13pm

Shaun McAuley gets a flick on a long free-kick and Nathan Smart is almost in, only a last-gasp challenge denying him.

The corner breaks for Callum McNish, whose angled drive is simple for goalkeeper Jack Turner.

9:10pm

SUBSTITUTION - Staines Town - Louie Theophanous on for Tony Garrod

9:08pm

The ball reaches Delano Sam-Yorke on the edge of the six-yard box and he does well to outmuscle a defender to turn but cannot get his improvised effort on target. He's claiming he was pulled back in there but it would have been a soft penalty.

9:06pm

The ball breaks to Shaun McAuley in space 25 yards out but the shot is sliced woefully wide.

9:01pm

Not much happening at the moment. Town seeing plenty of the ball but not doing much with it.

8:53pm

Tim Sills' flick releases Delano Sam-Yorke and he beats a man in the area but is denied by a heavy touch at the crucial moment.

8:48pm

We're back under way in the second half at Wheatsheaf Park.

8:38pm

HALF-TIME - Staines Town 1 (Taylor 26) Basingstoke Town 0

The score is a bit harsh on Town, who started and ended the half well, but Staines scored during their good spell in the middle.

8:37pm

YELLOW CARD - Staines Town - Teddy Ngoy

Ngoy pulls Delano Sam-Yorke back 30 yards from goal and is duly booked, with Matt Warner's free-kick not flying too far over.

Callum McNish then makes a powerful run from midfield and hits a low shot that the 'keeper has to get down and save.

8:27pm

Matt Warner crosses from the left and Delano Sam-Yorke rises at the near post - but he cannot get his header on target.

8:23pm

That's a good move down the Town right that ends in a shooting chance for Shaun McAuley - but his effort is unintentionally blocked by Nathan Smart. Better though.

8:14pm

Staines striker Cyril Ocansey is off-balance as he takes a shot from the edge of the area - but it loops not too far wide.

8:11pm

GOAL - Staines Town 1 (Taylor 26) Basingstoke Town 0

That's been coming over the last five minutes. Staines force Town back using their pacy attackers and the ball breaks to Scott Taylor 30 yards out. He smashes the ball at goal and finds the corner, but Ashley Bayes got a hand to it and may feel he should have kept it out.

8:11pm

David Wheeler crosses from the Staines right and it's a clear chance at the near post for Tony Garrod, who fails to make proper contact.

Cyril Ocansey then makes a strong run into the area but is crowded out, while it takes some good defending to prevent a chance being created from the resulting corner.

Staines on top at the moment.

8:04pm

That's Staines first proper effort and it's a good one. Town fail to deal with a corner and Reece Hall, who took the kick, smashes in a low shot that Ashley Bayes has to be down smartly to at his near post.

8:03pm

More good play from Town leads to Tim Sills getting to the byline and his powerful centre is well held by Jack Turner in the home goal.

8:02pm

Another chance for the visitors as Matt Warner's ball in from the left finds Delano Sam-Yorke at the near post - but he is unable to flick his improvised finish on target.

7:58pm

SUBSTITUTION - Basingstoke Town - Delano Sam-Yorke on for Jordace Holder-Spooner

Town are forced into an early change when Holder-Spooner is forced off by what looks like a hamstring problem. Sam-Yorke's a pretty good replacement mind!

7:56pm

That's another good chance for the visitors, who have made a decent start. Jordace Holder-Spooner does well to head the ball down for Shaun McAuley, whose volley hits a defender and goes wide.

Seconds later Matt Warner gets free down the left and his low ball in has Wes Daly claiming he was pulled down.

7:54pm

Right, let's go through the team news. Town name the same 11 that started against Weymouth on Saturday.

Town: Bayes, Smart, Rice, Adams, Gasson, McNish, Daly, McAuley, Sills, Holder-Spooner, Warner. Subs: Brown, Sam-Yorke, Campbell, Paterson, McDonnell.

Staines: Turner, Kemar-Smith, Brown, Taylor, Ngoy, Drage, Wheeler, Godfrey, Garrod, Ocansey, Hall. Subs: Theophanous, Merson, Boyle, Quan, Koney.

7:51pm

That's another chance for Town, and a better one as Shaun McAuley's cross finds Tim Sills at the back post and he heads over.

7:50pm

I'm having more technical problems but hopefully they're over now.

We have been playing for three minutes and Basingstoke have had the only effort of note so far, a low free-kick from Matt Warner that was comfortably saved by Staines 'keeper Jack Turner.

7:48pm

Live updates from Wheatsheaf Park, Staines, where Basingstoke Town are the visitors in a Blue Square Bet South clash.
