In-form Tadley claim big win
8:00am Saturday 13th October 2012 in Hampshire Sport By Graham Merry
TADLEY Calleva made it nine goals in two games as home side Hythe and Dibden were put to the sword last Saturday.
The visitors were in control from the opening kick-off as then never looked back after Jason Graham converted a corner after 15 minutes.
Ed Hall quickly doubled the advantage with a volley from 12 yards and then Graham netted his second with a one-on-one, before Brett Denham wrapped up a super first-half showing.
After the break Graham and Denham continued to cause the home defence problems, but were unable to add to their tally, while Hythe scored thanks to a wonderful volley, making it 4-1.
A delighted boss Danny Dolan said: “It was really just one way traffic and we could have had a lot more, but I am not complaining as we have our third win already this season and last year that did not happen until Christmas.
“Last year we were creating chances but not scoring them, but this year it is so different as Jason Graham has eight in five games and Brett Denham four in four.”
He added: “James Milford was our man-of-the-match. The was unplayable in midfield.”
This Saturday, Tadley make the short trip to Stockbridge looking to continue their good start which currently puts them above local rivals Whitchurch in the Wessex League division one table.
