Kaiser Wessex are cup heroes

KAISER Wessex stormed into the second round of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup as they won at Basingstoke Sports and Social 7-2 last Sunday.

The visitors were two goals to the good in the first 10 minutes, before Sports and Social pulled one back through Alex Izzo after 20 minutes.

However, Kaiser were 5-1 up by the interval. Warren Hill added to the home team’s tally but it was all too little too late. The Kaiser goals came from Paul Conie, James Tarrant, Tom O’Hanlon, Craig Barker from a free-kick, and a brace by Scott Harvey, one from a header.
