Kaiser Wessex net five in the Sunday League

KAISER Wessex made short work of cutting visitors AC Marstons down to size with a 5-1 win in Basingstoke and District Sunday League division one.

It made it a hat-trick of big wins for the side and the pick of the goals was scored by Ross Norman who netted with a sensational goal from fully 50 yards out.

Also on the scoresheet was Andrew Gethin (2) along with Colin Barratt and Samuel Cross.

Without a win so far, Overton United entertained Basingstoke Saints, playing a nice and tight game, which turned out a good match played in great spirit.

Nathan Rae and Jason Smith scored for the home side. However Saints scored five times from Liam James (2), Rick Pike, sub Alex Lennard and Astrin West, who bulged the net from outside the box.

Unbeaten Republic of Chineham and North Warnborough fought eyeball to eyeball with no quarter asked for or given, resulting in a scoreless draw.
