Tadley Calleva scoring for fun

THE GOALS keep coming for Tadley Calleva as they took their tally to an impressive 21 in four games.

The hotshots will hope to continue that when Laverstock and Ford are the visitors to Barlow’s Park on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Tadley collected their third Wessex League division one win on the trot with a 4-0 victory at Stockbridge last Saturday.

All the goals came in the final 20 minutes with Ed Hall, who worked tirelessly down the right, putting away a one-on-one from a Brent Denham cross.

Five minutes later Jason Graham scored his own one-on-one and then the same striker took his tally to 10 in six games with his second of the afternoon.

It was left to Denham to complete the scoring as Graham was the provider.

Tadley manager Danny Dolan was impressed with the team performance and subs Matt Aslett and Scott Kinge, a summer signing from Team Solent.

In the first 45 minutes, Darren Maunder pulled off two saves to keep the score 0-0 in a victory which saw Tadley move up to fifth in the table.

Dolan said: “I was delighted with the win at Stockbridge, especially as we kept a clean sheet. We have to make sure that continues on Saturday and we do not underestimate the visitors.”

On Tuesday night, Tadley cruised into the second round of the Basingstoke Senior Cup after an 8-4 win over Poison.

Graham grabbed another hat-trick supported by Kinge (2), Denham, Ricky Wacknell and Matt Aslett.

However, Hall, Wacknell and Kinge all picked up injuries in the game, so are doubts for the weekend.
