Following a five-month phased programme of works the Beaulieu attraction's Brabazon Restaurant & Coffee Shop has seen a transformative refurbishment.

The £920,000 project, which was completed in early April, has significantly overhauled the primary dining and relaxation area used by over 300,000 annual visitors to the home of the National Motor Museum.

With the refurbishment, the spaces now showcase a range of contemporary seating, lighting, and planting options.

The establishment offers various options for guests, from a formal restaurant area, which caters to those seeking either hot or cold meals, to an informal coffee shop with relaxed seating.

An addition to the service, the Brabazon now also serves drinks from the Costa range. The refurbishment also extends to include a new outdoor covered terrace, providing additional seating.

The terrace also features a new accessible entrance and offers a view over the National Motor Museum arena. The updated design reportedly allows for flexibility, enabling the space to transform for formal dinners and functions in the evening.

Several groups worked together on the renovation, including Rekan Construction Consultants from Hampshire, HPW Architecture Ltd, and A.D (Southern) Ltd. These works were conducted over three phases to reduce disruption to visitors amidst Beaulieu's continued operation.

The refurbishment forms part of a larger programme aimed at enhancing the visitor experience at Beaulieu.

May highlights include the unveiling of a Fairy & Dragon willow sculpture trail and the launch of a new display in the National Motor Museum.

Head of visitor experience and operations, Jon Tee said: "We are delighted to unveil the newly refurbished Brabazon Restaurant & Coffee Shop, where every detail has been meticulously crafted to provide our visitors with a first-class dining experience that complements their day out at Beaulieu. Feedback from the first weeks of opening have been very positive from both our guest and the hospitality team."
